I've started incorporating sardines into my weekly meals, usually eating them 2-3 times per week, and I've depleted by stock. I like the bone in, whole sardines over the filets.
What brands do y'all like? My last case was wild planet. They're good, but I want to try something else

We order from Patagonia Provisions. I'm more partial to the mackrel, salmon, and mussels but they have lots of sardine options too. Good stuff.

Publix had albacore from fishwife BOGO yesterday and I got two cans, didn't think they were worth the price.
Anyone try Nuri? Have read they're really good

What do you do with it? Crackers? Don't say put it on a salad, even if you put them on a salad. I don't want to hear it. Sandwich? I could see some crispy toast with maybe some red onion. Go on...

Half the time I dump them from can to plate and eat them with a fork.
Sriracha is my favorite condiment to eat with them. The flavors go great together.
If we're having them for supper and I'm feeding them to my wife, I'll church it up and make an open face sandwich.
Toast some sourdough in olive oil in the skillet. Rub with garlic, top with avocado slices, micro greens, sliced grape tomatoes, sardines, lemon juice, sriracha.
Pickled onions or capers are another good topping

If you have a world market near you, they always have a great selection of sardines and other fish (including nuri and fishwife), just don't bring your wife in that store. My everyday sardines are king oscar, but I do love the ortiz when I want something a little fancier.

When I was a kid, my dad would make a dip with kipper snacks and green olives. It was out of this world and I can't believe I liked it as a kid. But people either loved it or hated it. Wish I had that recipe.

I eat the Patagonia salmon frequently it’s very very good. I’ll have to try the sardines they are so good for you but I need to break in my palate

Fishwife.
You can also source many varietals online. I've had good luck with TinnedFishMarket, online.

some of the best I've ever had. 3 Huge sardines in spicy olive oil with peppers and a carrot slice. Caught and canned in the same plant for over 100 years in Portugal (Atlantic ocean)
