1). Galveston, Texas- If New Orleans had a little brother that lived on a beach

2). George Town, Malaysia- I know, this sounds insane but they are actually pretty similar

3). Houston, Texas- If Louisiana had a secret kid with California, and Louisiana lost custody after the age of 5

4). Havana- like Hank Hill’s Japanese half brother but Latin.

Savannah

Savannah is like if Charleston and New Orleans had a kid. you get a touch of the southern charm that Charleston has without the pretentiousness, and the party vibe from NOLA with less cultcha (but not a lot less)

Jackson MS, minus the nice suburbs to the north.

Mobile - poor man's NOLA

Charleston - rich man's NOLA minus the party scene

Because it's clean? Because it doesn't compare?

The Old City of Cartagena, Colombia. They had the same type of buildings, roadways, and horse buggies. Also, food vendors on every corner, an open market, street performers, panhandlers, and everyone asking if you want drugs. Beautiful city, but I would recommend Medellin if you were to visit Colombia.

dont throw me in there with the New Orleans "yall". i live in Mandeville and have to come to this shithole every day. I hate New Orleans.

that said, I lived halfway between Savannah and Charleston for several years, and I think it is a valid comparison. but they are both WAY better than New Orleans for many reasons.

Houston is nothing like Nola except for the weather. It's more like Los Angeles.
