Trump Reforms Cut Legal Immigration by 50 percent

The number of migrants approved for citizenship dropped by roughly 50 percent amid the pro-America review process set by Donald Trump’s agents at the Department of Homeland Security.
The reduced inflow of migrants will pressure companies to raise wages and increase investment in productivity-boosting workplace technology. The decline will also cut housing costs, helping Americans to get married and raise kids.

Good. This is part of the reason the court system is so backed up.
Personally, I'm all for stopping ALL immigration for a short reset period. And a part of that is the lefts reaction to the administration trying to fulfill its biggest campaign promise.

It’s definitely both. There are so many people here “legally” for bullshite reasons.
We need to take care of our own.
I just got off a plane earlier and the analogy fits: We need to put our own mask on before we put the mask on other countries.
Get our house in order and then we can talk about taking other people in (legally and SELECTIVELY)

They should really work to increase legal immigration and offer fastrack incentives to legal immigrants who assist in rounding up illegals for deportation.
