applied to 100s of places, brought my resumes into many places too. have two art degrees, years of experience in bakeries and cafes and call centers. also worked part time retail here and there. struggling and have been for a couple months. trying to not get evicted, but lost my job in feb. due to the cafe closing down. i have reliable transportation and open availability. if you have any ideas please let me know! i love being a hard worker and getting things done, did not want to post here but im running out of ideas.

It would probably help if you told people where you live.

I cant tell if this is a troll or not

Where are you applying?

You worked at a cafe before?

Seems like all restaurants are constantly hiring

Make sure to include "Frequent poster on the OT".
That's a sure fire way to get an interview.

Companies like insight global, aerotek, kforce should have some job postings up for call center roles. Have you checked out their websites?

You can't find a job in food service or retail?

Those places will hire anyone with a pulse.

Just having a car probably puts you in the 90th percentile.

This. General metro area would suffice.

But with that background, there should be openings in food service and hospitality

Art degree……bakeries…….cafe……I don’t think you’ve ever worked a day in your life yet and I see why you are struggling to find employment.

If you’re not terribly old I’d think about a different career path.

Where do you live? Honestly if you’re willing, call your local IBEW. That’s what I did 8 years ago and haven’t looked back.

My brother in law has a Master's in Art History. You know what he does now? He's a nurse. Had to go back to school because he couldn't find a job in his field of study.

Art degrees are niche and getting more so as time goes along. You used to be able to parlay them into marketing/advertising in a pinch, but with AI now churning out anything anyone could want in a fraction of the time those positions are drying up.

Go to a trade school and learn to weld, repair HVAC, etc.

Are you looking for a job or a career? Unless you get into management in a call center, you're likely to be just getting by. No idea on bakeries and cafes, but I would guess it's pretty similar.

Cafes and restaurants hire people with face tats, go back to work there.
