Why?

Because everyone on this team can play better and Jay can coach better. And we've mostly exhausted every single stoopid mistake in baseball thus far.

I was with you a couple weeks ago. Time to let this season go if we’re being realistic.

I admire your dedication, but they are what they are at this point. I think even Jay has thrown in the towel.

In no sense being argumentative, but don't you think some of our players will improve going forward this season? We're at the halfway point in the SEC schedule. So much baseball to be played.

I would love to believe it, unfortunately confidence is a huge thing in all sports and this team lacks it. Need a leader to make a stand quick.

It’s time for Lane Kiffin and Will Wade now

This is the worst defensive LSU team’s I can remember watching. It’s just awful defensively outside of Milam.

I’m not giving up either because I witnessed that 2024 club go from the gates of hell to dang near winning the North Carolina regional and then fortuitously hosting a super regional. This ‘26 club could get hot any time now. I mean damn at Tenner folks were ready to crown em, yet 1 week later they’re stating that we have no chance.

They have to avoid sweeps, or they can kiss post season goodbye. If they can get going and take 2 of three from a couple teams theyre not supposed to, then maybe they can go on a run in post season.

UGA, Florida. A&M, State, SC all remain.

With our RPI 14 SEC wins has to be the target.

Not looking great, but if you can sweep SC and win 1 other series it puts you at 11 wins. If you get 1 win in the other 3 you sit at 14 - 16. Will need 2 wins in sec tourn or better with low RPI we have.

Kudos to you for believing that we can coach up people on how to catch the ball, turn double plays, and not swing a nose diving pitches that bounce halfway between the mound and home plate.

Why would an actual fan give up on the season now? Makes no sense to me. Fandom has changed over the years, not for the better.

2024 had holman and jump, and a decent defense. This team has schmidt and no defense. Big difference. And when we were holding steady, schmidt was pitching well. If he is hitting his wall now, then we have a to endure another 2-3 weeks of below average pitching from the whole staff.

Good for you. Here’s a sticker.

This team has potential on paper but can’t do the most basic fundamentals.

As I have aged the whole concept (regardless of team) makes less and less sense.

I know...not fun at parties.

Nope - these players are what they are, not D1 talent. Perhaps if they go to a JUCO they will improve there.
