What’s up with baseball players wearing chains?

Why do all these baseball players wear chains? They and rappers are the only guys I see wear them. What’s the deal? This isn’t a normal fashion piece for men today. Maybe in the 70s. Why has the chain culture held on in men’s baseball? Hispanic influence?

Because they’re cheesy dudes. Have you seen those cheesy sunglasses they wear? Kevin Sullivan is the poster boy for cheesy baseball attire.
