You have to admire how quickly the Democrat machine chewed up and spit out Swalwell

By all accounts, these allegations have been known for years but never released or written about. A few journalists even said as much on X the past few days
Swalwell was a threat to split the vote and allow an R to become Governor of Cali. He was probably told to drop out, but refused and was even gaining more of a lead.
In one day, he went from the Dem front runner to life ruined. Everyone had statements ready and condemned him in a mass coordinated effort. The left media attacked him for everything, including paying his illegal nanny with campaign funds. They also wrote sympathetic articles about his wife to really pile on about what a scumbag he is.
Notice how they all no longer wanted him to be Governor of Cali but did not call for his removal from Congress. That's because he is still useful to them there. They only wanted him out of the way of the Governor's race so an R didn't win. He probably had the most dirt to expose out of everyone running so he was the scapegoat.
The Rs could never operate so efficiently, attacking their own in order to ensure a D Governor doesn't take over one of their strongholds

The MSM is a Dem propaganda machine and does their bidding but that is crumbling. CBS is back to reporting news now that the Ellison family owns it and of course, Elon buying X was huge
R's could have done more a long time ago to kick Swalwell out of Congress, so blame them too. They knew about these allegations, too, but the Fang Fang situation alone was more than enough for action and they did nothing.
