i think bain is our very likely pick. if there's anyone else we are targetting not named bailey/reese/love then we probably need to do a giants/browns trade up for that person not named Bain.

Interesting that Downs doesn't show up in the odds until Cincinnati at pick 10.

He is in the odds at #5.

Kinda the two guys Ive been thinking we end up with Bain or Tate. Vegas knows.

And they must know Bailey is going #2. I really thought they were going Reese.

You should not be drafting what you HOPE is the exception…..at the #8 pick. Bain may end up being a very good player, but there are a lot of exceptions (when it comes to the prototype) to hang your hopes and dreams on.

A bust at 8, could REALLY set this rebuild/franchise back a few years on our contention window.

If they pick him, I just hope they have really dotted the I’s and crossed the T’s. I would be happy to be wrong on this, because I actually like his motor. I have actually come around A LITTLE on him in the past week, but I still think the bust potential is too high at 8.

Replace Bain with Tate in your post, and I agree fully.

It’s gonna be Bain or Tate.

Probably Tate if the Browns don’t take him. If he’s gone, then Bain.

Edge is premium position so I see us going for Bain (I prefer Bailey but he'll be gone). But if there is doubt about Bain then go Delane or Downs.

Bain 60%
Trade down makai lemon 12-15 35%
Trade up to giants spot for Jeremiah Love 5%

Edge might be a premium position, but Bain is not a premium prospect. He will be a run stuffing, edge setting DE. Not a pass rushing specialist.

I’d prefer Downs, then Delane, then Tate, then Lemon, then Vega Ioane, then Fano, then Bain if he’s left after those guys.

I would want Lemon over Tate. Just because he cooks in the slot. If he isn't getting pressed, then he'll hurt you.

so much damage is done in the slot these days.

Teams went after a Taylor last year on the Saints D and then Bobby Saleh awards him with a 3year/30 million plus deal for the Titans.

Bernard is one of my favorite players in this draft. Every time I watched Bama, he was the one making plays. Not Ryan Williams.

You think the Saints have a 35% chance of trading down?

I just have a strange feeling Tate is that WR that is picked apart because he’s the top 1-2 guy of this draft but when he’s drafted and actually plays, he’s really good.

I think the Saints are going to go way off our radar as usual
