All right, I love this President!

Europe has no one to blame for this but themselves.
Hopefully, it would be a precursor to us withdrawing from the Useless Nations.

Rubio voted for the Senate act stopping the President from deciding to leave NATO.
Only Congress can withdraw us.

No chance, and no one should want it. Nothing gets better, easier, or less expensive if we leave NATO.
ETA: Besides, Congress is never in a million years going to even come close to signing on for this.

Is freedom and liberty worth defending? Absolutely. Socialism has stripped both away from much of the West. Sadly, we can longer in good faith support those governments, militarily or otherwise. Maybe when we pull out Germany will start making tanks again, France is already building more nukes. It will all work itself out one way or another.

don't discuss, don't use this to negotiate anything from other NATO members, just GTFO

If it doesn't happen under Trump it never will.
Let's go Trump

How will the North American Treaty Organization survive without America?

Congress probably has the right to back out of the treaty. But the president can reduce the quality of support. Ie Ukraine gets no more targeting help from US. Uk now gets it from UK.

we won't withdraw. And probably shouldn't
we should have a serious discussion about what we will and will not participate in/assist with moving forward. at least through the end of this term.
They shouldn't be caught by surprise when we don't "show up" for the next pet NATO outing. we have been historically important enough that it wouldn't be fair to surprise them next time they think we are standing "behind" them.

Why?
We have never participated or even been pressured to participate in anything on NATO's behalf. The only times that NATO has ever acted militarily as a body---it was at our request or on our behalf.

As I said, there has never been any of those, outside of ours.

He sure can return troops from the bases and move equipment from the area. Limit involvement, withhold assets, money, information, etc.
