I don’t know, but that back-to-back Florida team with Noah, Horford and Brewer was tough.

06 Florida, 03 Syracuse, 04 Uconn, 05 NC are better than several of those teams listed IMO

Beside the 06 Florida team... And maybe 05 UNC, what other team had anywhere near the post presence, size, depth, and athleticism that Michigan did?

They literally stacked the team with bigs that would be impossible 5+ yrs ago.

I think the 07 Florida team was great, but I do not rate them any higher because Florida went back to back. The 06 team won a natty, then the 07 team. The 07 team was better than 06. That said, they did lose five times.

1. 09 UNC
2. 07 Florida
3. 24.UCONN
4. 12 Kentucky
5. 01 Duke
6. 21 Baylor
7. 15 Duke
8. 18. Villanova
9. 06 Florida
10. 05 North Carolina

2013 Louisville is underrated. Not saying they should be top 5 or even top 10, but by the end of the season with Siva and Smith they were dominating. Won their last 16 games of the season and absolutely dismantled teams in the 2nd halves of games with their pressure.

Yes, I know the title is vacated, but if we're talking NCAA Tournament champions they deserve mention.

06 UF was a 3 or 4 seed. We didn't even win the SEC that year.
07 was legit.
25 was sorta in between.

Any list of best teams since 2000 that doesn't include 2005 UNC is shite. That team was a wagon.

I think your top two are correct in that order. After that, you could talk me into 2007 Florida, 2005 UNC, or 2018 Villanova and I wouldn't argue.

on paper maybe, but they didnt win the ACC tournament and was very very lucky to beat Villanova and Wisconsin. They deserve massive credit for beating 1 of the greatest FF teams that didnt win in Illinois.

I’d go 01 Duke, 24 UConn and 12 Kentucky as the top 3, not sure which order. 18 nova at 4

The other 6 would be 05 and 09 unc
07 Florida
This Michigan team
08 Kansas
Maybe 21 Baylor at #10

Neither did 09 unc.

09 unc is boosted by a more impressive tournament run, but I really think 05 unc was a better all around team.

07 Florida would probably be a favorite over most teams on that list.
Yea they lost 5 games but that was a team that was just going through the motions in January and February. When March came around, they cut through the field like a hot knife through butter.

18 Villanova was a wagon. They were elite in basically every facet.

Good point about 09 unc not winning the ACC tournament.

I also want to point out again massive credit for beating Illinois, I think that Illinois squad is better than most champions. I think Illinois probably beats UNC in a 7 game series.

Where 09 UNC seperates is just the talent

Lawson >>>>>> Felton
Hansborough >>>>>>> May
Ellington < McCants
Danny Green >>>>>>>> any of 05's wings

I believe 05 unc had 4 lottery picks compared to just 1 for 09 unc

Hansborough had a better career than May, but I don’t think there’s much, if any, talent difference. You’re also forgetting Marvin Williams.

3 acc teams finished in the top 5 that year, plus there was a loaded GaTech team that was National runner up the year prior.

Regarding the title game, they controlled from start to finish. Illinois hit a bunch of 3s down the stretch to make it competitive, but unc was clearly the superior team.

Forget career, would you not take 09 TH over 05 May?

Would you not take 09 Danny Green over 05 Marvin Williams?

Would you not take 09 Lawson over 05 Felton?

Is this your very own personal shite list? The 2003 Syracuse Orange team was special. Carmelo Anthony, Gerry McNamara, and Billy Edelin were three freshmen starters on a championship team. Carmelo was just the third freshmen in history to win tournament MOP.

loved that team but its probably in the bottom 7 or 8 of championship teams since 2000.
