I guess you have to consider who is bluffing and who isn’t.
But if bombs actually blow up civilians it’s pretty easy to see who will shoulder the blame.

Well, in another thread I called a poster a retard for saying there was no such thing as a war crime, using Nazis executing American prisoners as an example, and I was downvoted to oblivion. So who knows?

This is why the military option was the only choice left to deal with Iran. How can anyone negotiate country negotiate in good faith with people that would just totally waste the lives of women and children like this? How could a country ever trust Iran to keep it word and follow any agreement reached? People that would do anything like this can’t be dealt with in a civilized manner.

Yes it is a war crime to even ask for people to be volunteers to be shields per Geneva Convention 51(7)
The presence or movements of the civilian population or individual civilians shall not be used to render certain points or areas immune from military operations, in particular in attempts to shield military objectives from attacks or to shield, favour or impede military operations. The Parties to the conflict shall not direct the movement of the civilian population or individual civilians in order to attempt to shield military objectives from attacks or to shield military operations.
However knowing that they have committed this war crime if you bomb those areas knowing civilians are there, it is also a war crime.
