Has the Saints selecting Jermod McCoy, CB from Tenn.

Order fell like this :

1. Mendoza
2. Bailey
3. Reese
4. Love
5. Mauioga
6. Tate
7. Styles

Not sure how I feel about this. What about you fellas? I watched some highlights and he’s talented as shite. Has more of the true lockdown kind of size and ability than Delane but has a much higher chance to bust. Not taking a guy after not playing like Chase is one thing. He missed because of injury. Seems risky despite how good he looks on the field.

Delane is a better prospect

Don’t see it. We’d go Bain or Downs in that scenario

We'd probably go Delane or Bain in this scenario. Downs is another good option. McCoy would be way too risky at 8.

In that situation I think we pick Bain.

If we pick a CB it better be Delane.

Having a known injury just worries me, but if he did play and didn't have questions it's fair to assume he'd be a top 5 pick.

This is where I’m at. Elite measurables at the one position where that shite matters more than most.

But that injury…

Matt Miller, who has been solid in the past…tweeted tonight that he expects McCoy to be first CB taken

just about every player has a past injury. He tore his ACL and is healthy. His leg didn't fall off.

Am I crazy for thinking a torn ACL isn’t as much of a red flag as someone who might have chronic hamstring issues (Lattimore, Tyson, etc.)

Multiple ACL tears would give me pause but no not worried about one

He’s a pretty good swing at that spot for the saints. Take a guy your ok with or swing for a big upside play because he has elite potential ? I don’t hate it

I’d like it way more than Tate at that spot

The actual red flag with McCoy was that he was supposed to come back and play this year. Never heard why he didn’t.

Then it was that we will see him play at the senior bowl. Doesn’t show up

Doesn’t do any drills until his pro day. McCoy has elite measurables, but hasn’t played football in a year and a ton of questions surrounding why it took up until the pro day to compete

I think our choices will either be Bain, Downs, or Delane. So, whoever the FO feels the safest to take. I hope that Bailey or Styles would drop to us, but I just don't see it.

He tore his ACL in January 2025. He has two years of elite tape so playing 2-3 games coming off that injury does him no good

Given his pro day performance I think we know what he’s been up to

I hope we’d go with Downs. Seems to be a pretty big consensus that he’s going to potentially be an excellent player.

I’d probably prefer elite man corner over safety
