The pedestrian bridge over Highland Road for the Dixie Landing trash park is being torn down!

WBRZ

What a happy day for St George and the people that live on Highland Road around I-10!

What was the issue with it? It served no purpose but I don’t know why removal should create any joy.

Anything that shows continued demise and destruction of that shitty trashy water and amusement park with the associated clientele is reason for celebration if you live near there.

Once upon a time, it was a great place for kids and teens to hang out.

It’s St George. The city with rent a cops no public works but a high paid mayor and council. Any way to keep pulling the wool over their eyes they keep doing. Example A removing a painted pedestrian bridge that no one can see from their house……..it’s sad really. Wonder how much this is costing the settlement of St George tax payers……..

Good grief, the complaint use to be Baton Rouge, now it is that St George sucks. Maybe the entire state population should just move to another state.

Hate to break it to you but the park is reopening this summer
Losing the bridge just ensures Old Perkins will be a cluster frick every afternoon

With the progress they’ve made thus far I’d be shocked if it opened

More important is to fix that light cycle
Coming out of the Home Depot at that light turning left into highland - the arrow goes from green to yellow before the first car even makes it thru

Weird flex and I bet traffic is gonna be fricked up even worse for my favorite Waffle House.

You ain’t living until you go to the Waffle House by both CCLA and LA State Police Troop.

That’s why you lay on the horn the moment it turns green. Same as the left turn arrow from Highland into the HD parking lot.

Your stupidity becomes more evident with every post. High paid council lol... just get over that St. George won and was approved and get on with your meaningless life. Baton Rouge would love to have you. There's plenty of rental properties north of Florida Blvd where you can move to and laugh at St. George's prosperity with your new friends
