Jeremy Witten played in a baseball game and punted in the spring football game on the same day, that’s the closest I remember.

I remember we had an athlete that played in a baseball game and then in a spring football game the same day.

He wore his baseball uniform with helmet to punt. Was a fun day with my Grandad attending both.

I wonder if Ben McDonald did.
He was on the basketball team and that overlaps with baseball.

The closest thing I can come up with was I think Billy Cannon ran sprints and threw the shot put on the same day.

We had a rb, or a db that tried both...can't remember specifics or if was every a same day deal.

He arrived 30 minutes before first pitch and did not take batting practice or infield/outfield. In 2007, Jackson played in 36 games, starting 33 of them and finished as the team’s second-leading hitter, batting .292 on the year.

Cannon was the real deal - very friendly guy too - Our deer lease was in about the same area in west Texas - saw him a number of times out there and shared memories.

Not while he was at LSU but Victor Jones as a senior in HS (Zachary HS) had the state wrestling championship and powerlifting tournaments on the same day. Bob Odom, the then commissioner of agriculture, arranged for a helicopter to bring him between the events. IIRC one was in BR and one in Plaquemine. That’s the best I got.

Both McDonald and Mouton came on basketball scholarships so they were not allowed to go to baseball until after the basketball season ended

Alvin Ralph Dark was an All-State and All-Southern tailback at Lake Charles High in 1940, and captain of the Wildcats’ basketball team. But baseball was his first love.
Lake Charles High didn’t participate in baseball at that time, but he played Legion ball for five years—and received a scholarship to Louisiana State University to play basketball and baseball.
Dark, who had already accepted a basketball scholarship to Texas A&M, decided to got out for football at LSU after he noticed that the menu at the football training table was considerably more attractive than the wiener, sauerkraut and thin slices of roast beef served to other athletes.
He lettered in all three sports, and led the Tigers’ football team to a 21-7 victory over Ole Miss (quarterbacked by Charlie Conerly) with touchdown runs of 70 and 46 yards. But his most vivid memories of that game were four punts—a 75-yarder and three coffin corner kicks that pinned the Rebels inside their two-yard line.
Before one punt, Dark asked the referee where the ball would be placed if he hit the flag.
“Right there,” he replied. “Right on the one-foot line.”

I remember going to a Spring Gane that was just before a baseball game. I believe it was in the spring of 2008. We had to leave the Spring Game by sometime towards the end of the 3td Quarter to make it for the start of the baseball game. Once we were at the baseball game, it wasn’t long and we saw both Chad Jones and Jared Mitchell show up a little late with their bags and gear. I’m pretty sure Mitchell at least, played in the baseball game.
