Think they want Iran tossing bombs over their investment? Think they don't want people from all over the world to visit?
Tourists aren't visiting if it's not safe. This is why they want that Iran regime eliminated

Well I keep hearing from MSCNN that Saudi Arabia wants no part of what Trump is doing and that is full of shite nonsense. Of course they love what he is doing because it's going to help their tourism industry when all of the dust settles and from the looks of everything, they are going all in boosting their tourist industry

Saudi and Israel both want Iran either broken via civil war or flipped via regime change because they're shia (SA is sunni) and because a strong and hostile Iran represents a threat to both as a regional power.
That doesn't mean SA wants the flow of their oil shipments halted or their desalinization plants destroyed, but I think clearly they're accepting of some level of risk to try to destabilize their regional opponent.

It’s just hilarious to me that a near totalitarian state is trying to get people to visit by building a theme park

Yas Island (Abu Dhabi) begs to differ. You clearly have no idea the changes that have occurred in KSA over the last 30 years.

Actually, these countries would be making a huge mistake. Seen it first hand in the US.
Want to keep your shite nice? You got to build nice shite then never let anyone use it. Like in Turkmenistan.
You think they let a bunch of dirty tourists to come frick their shite up?

S.A. is a different place in the middle east. The royal family has a LOT of sons and grandsons who are sent to American colleges to learn about capitalism. Those kids LOVE America's system and want to copy a lot of it for their home country.
Leaders like the Mullahs that rule Iran want the opposite.

I'm not there, no plans or even aspirations to go and not a single person I know does either.

Think deeper my friend. Saudi benefits with a weak Iran.
If Iran became a ME superpower they have the potential to be, that would severely weaken the global standing of the House of Saud.

It has nothing to do with tourism and everything to do with power. MBS couldn’t give a single frick if his country regresses back into a land full of hunter-gatherer nomads. As long as the House of Saud still has complete control over the KSA’s economy and government, they could care less about what happens to their citizens.
The reason you’re seeing Islamic monarchist countries like UAE and KSA pushing for war against Iran is because their leaders don’t want any possible insurrections that could jeopardize their power as monarchists.
It’s the reason why the president for UAE banned Emiratis from studying in Britain. It had nothing to do with terrorism and everything to do with the fact that Muslim Brotherhood is a pro-Islamic Republic organization that wants an Islamic republic. The president for UAE didn’t want to deal with the possibility of Emiratis being indoctrinated in the UK by the Muslim Brotherhood and coming back to the UAE and starting an insurrection.
It’s all about power in the Muslim world. These ragheads don’t give a frick about having a population that’s educated and secular.

Saudi is a nice place, but you’ve probably never been outside of the South.

Nowhere in the Middle East is that different. They have Sharia law. They’re very similar to UAE, who have arrested people for texting each other to check in about missile strikes lol. Very authoritarian/totalitarian places.

Since when does Orlando have Mickey cut the hand off thieves?

There was a Dragonball them park announced a year or two ago. Got excited seeing the renderings. Then saw it was going to be in Saudi Arabia and noped out on that. I don’t care how many people or influencers say it’s a cool place. I’m not flying halfway across the world for entertainment when I can just get it here.

Are they going to allow women in bikinis to swim in those pools and go down those water slides?

Then why do the Islamists want the royal family of SA assasinated and replaced with Mullahs?
