Has the LSU basketball student section always looked like that?

Four years of McLoser has really done a number on them.
Is the only reason I thought bignose and the guy with half a basketball on his head were cool was because I was 10 years old?

It's looked like that for a while. Even under Wade. Unfortunately, the comic-con crowd was the only ones who continued to show up under McMahon (God bless them), so it became more pronounced.

I thought the first few rows of the student section has always been incredibly cringe.

I was at the Press Deal today. Students were sitting all over the arena. 4 were on the row just behind me.

The sad fact of the matter is, the entire time they've been enrolled they've had no idea how amazing our basketball used to be under WW. Hopefully we get the students reengaged.

the LSU student section for basketball has been full of goobers since i was in school in the 2000s.
My theory is that they latched onto it because it was easier to feel like "super fans" or get on tv or be "the guys" in the section with less competition. Its a bit selfserving but i also dont ever want to criticize the kids that are actually coming to games too harshly

Had season tickets in the same section as this guy once he graduated. Still wore the jersey and sleeve to every game. Nixed the wig and white board. Just yelled his lame euphemisms instead of writing them down.
But he showed up and cheered every game, I guess that’s what truly matters ???????

In the Dale Brown prime years, the Student Section used to be on the sidelines and it was jam packed from the bottom row all the way to the top of the Assembly Center!
There used to be Men"s/Women's basketball Double-Headers. I'd go to the lightly attended women's game and try to do some studying (Looking over my Tiger Band music and drill charts) before it got crowded for the men's game. (Joined TGBFTL Basketball Band after Wickes was hired at LSU and didn't have to worry about finding a seat)
