Tommy is battling cancer and is in pretty critical condition at the moment. Prayers for him and his family.

Prayers up for TC. He was a fun player to watch back in the day. Could do it all!

Sorry to hear that. His parents and mine were very close. He was way older than me, so I didn't know him that well.

Truly one of the greatest Tigers of all time.

The only 3 time All-American in LSU football history.

Oh no.
He is the cousin of one of my best friends growing up (who is now deceased). Tommy used to play football with us in the street when we were kids.
Prayers sent.

As LSU's ONLY THREE TIME All American, TC was on a NFL Hall of Fame trajectory before knee issues forced his retirement after only six seasons, 3 of which he was named to the Pro Bowl.
I'm sorry to hear this legend is struggling with his health.

To me, a defining "tell "re his character was when he resigned from the Legislature after only one term....because he was disgusted over all the corruption he saw in the Legislature. La. lost a good potential State leader then.

Damn.
He was my opthamologist way back.
Hell of a nice guy....

Sad to hear. My idol growing up. Made me want to be a cornerback.

I saw something a while back saying he died that was fake news and I can’t find anything online. Not saying your not right

I idolized that guy. His years at LSU were the years I was getting old enough to really become a fan. We’d get down to a game every year, and one of the musts on each trip was to go to the bookstore, and get me a new 37 jersey to replace the one I’d worn out from the year prior. I’d wear that jersey to school, then wear it again as fast as Momma could get it washed.

Great Tiger! When my best friend was a freshman flanker, he went up against TC in practice. He was TC knocked him down 3 times before the play was half way finished. Said he was unbeleiveably good.

I saw that as well. It appeared one month ago. I couldn't track down the source, but it was a long article.
Prayers for #37, one of the last two-way players in college football.
