I wonder if Beth Torina is getting nervous

She may continue to get pass, but I’d imagine she would be the next coaching change. LSU hasn’t made a WCWS appearance since 2017

Beth compares much more favorably to BK than MM.....MM had to go, I am not a fire the coach guy and liked MM for a long while, but this year was abysmal.

There is no political benefit from changing the softball coach. Hell, with what LSU has spent on football and basketball over the last few years her job may be more secure than ever.

She's actually probably relieved after seeing all the money they've spent the last few months. Probably thinks they don't have the money to address her right now.
And I hope they don't. Just let her finish her contract out and find a new coach when her contract is expired in a couple of years.

No money is extra except in Football & MBB. They are the only profit sports that’s where the word “extra” money can come from. If it’s not a profit making sport there is no extra.

I don’t think we should make any moves there either.
But over the past 5 years she’s watched the major parts of the athletic department get revitalized, with a major emphasis on winning.
No SEC titles since 2007
No WCWS appearances since 2017

LSU has a unique chance to put their entire athletic brand on the line and raise it up simultaneously. Why are you going to single out softball when we put baseball on the map. Single out women's basketball if we're trying to do the same with men's basketball? etc etc.
I don't want to hear about its a losing profit sport cause being shitty is only going to make it less profitable. The benefits to LSU's brand in entirety is way more beneficial. Women's sports will always be non profitable but its not going nowhere.

Great point.
Had things gone different with Matt McMahon and BK and we weren't buying them out, I'd definitely say she needs to go ASAP. However, as things sit now, softball coaching is way down on the totem pole and I can't imagine anyone wants to buy her out as well. Unless softball has some boosters I'm unaware of.
Now that I say that, I wonder what her contract is like. I can't imagine she has much of a buyout, unless Woodward gave her one of his patented contracts with a crazy buyout.

Zero chance Gasso would come to LSU, she also makes 2 mil..you ok with that here? My guess Beth is safe for the foreseeable future!
