There are plenty of people here who need to watch this and ACTUALLY LISTEN AND TRY TO UNDERSTAND IT.

PS - That dude is going to be President one day. Mark it down.

Most of these people have no interest in understanding anything as long as OMB is in office.

Their TDS is crippling them and they don't care.

quote:

HOLY SMOKES!! Sec. Marco Rubio just delivered a mic drop moment in the Cabinet room

"What I'm talking about is not the people of Iran. The people that run this country are RADICAL, SHIA CLERICS. These are religious FANATICS. Look what they are doing now at their WEAKEST point!"

"This is the weakest Iran has ever been, and look at what they're doing. They're attacking embassies. They're attacking hotels. Imagine what these people would do if they had a nuclear weapon!"

"That is an unacceptable risk for the world. By the way, the president's not just doing a favor to the United States and to our people. This is for the world!"

"He defined very clearly on the first night of this operation what the goal was. We were going to destroy Iran's navy, and that is happening. We were going to, if it hasn't already happened, I'll let Pete speak to the specifics of it, we were going to destroy their missile launching capabilities."

"We're well on our way to achieving that goal. We were going to destroy the factory so they couldn't make more missiles and more drones. And that is moving forward."

"Every single objective the president clearly laid out on the first night of this operation is being effectuated."

"For 47 YEARS, Iran has been killing Americans and attacking Americans across this planet. And other presidents had an opportunity to DO something about it, and they all warned about how Iran was dangerous, but they refused to act."

"And THIS president's not someone that's going to refuse to act. He's not going to leave a danger like this in place. He's going to address it, and that is what he is doing."

I'd rather hear Rubio speak any time over President Trump.

He's clear, concise, logical, direct, and has the ability to cover a lot of ground with few words.

this is exactly right. Combined with the fact that they are weak kneed pacifist raised at the knee of Obama and believe all countries are our moral equivalent and will act in good faith as we do.

There is a difference between straight shooting and stream of consciousness tangents. You can have the former without the latter, but that rarely happens with Trump. Obama is proof that gifted speakers do not equal good presidents, but Rubio and Vance are much easier to listen to than Trump for sure.

The usual neo-con bullshite about pre-emptive war from a backstabbing a-hole who turned on his Tea Party voters the second he got to DC. frick Marco Rubio and his war machine. If the actions of Iran - under attack from two nations - are to be weighed as the sign of future nuclear attack, apply that same logic to the United States. Think we're going to run around nuking people? Has Iran spent the last several decades blowing an entire part of the world to shite for no tangible reason?

Rubio has definitely matured into a more competent public speaker than his water bottle nervous speaker days.

Rubio and JD both are very intelligent and talented speakers.

Trump is intelligent but he isn’t the greatest speaker on policy details

A debate between Rubio and JD would be the most intelligence seen between two potential presidential candidates in a long time.

I like Rubio. I think he's doing the best he can with the narratives.

But I'm hoping we're not coming to a point where the reality is:

- Leave Iran neutered but with sufficient IRGC/regime structure that it'll be a true roll of the dice whether or not the people of Iran mount any resistance to its rebuilding; or

- Decide this is the closest we'll ever be, can't finish the job without assets on the ground

I don't give much weight to the nuclear threat, but I think reasonable people can conclude there was merit enough for intervention. What continues to concern me is whether things we expected (from our intel and Israel's) to have happened by now are not happening, and how well we planned for that contingency.

The difference in Rubio and past neocons is Rubio so far seems to actually be getting shite done and solving decades long problems. I’m ok with that. My issue in the past is we dicked around and prolonged the wars and spent too much money and in the end accomplished very little.

Go back to Vietnam. Our direct involvement was what a decade? And we accomplished nothing.

Afghanistan and Iraq? Trillions spent, took a decade to get Bin Laden, destabilized the region and led to several terrorist factions gaining a foothold around the Middle East such as Isis. Only for the Taliban to eventually regain power and we left them billions in military equipment.

With Rubio, we extracted Maduro. One night is all it took. Now the successor is working with us, even though she was part of the Maduro regime. Their oil is coming to US refineries not China. Not Cuba.

Cuban govt will collapse due to this. We solve that issue without firing a shot. They’ve been a problem for us since 1960. We failed for decades to oust that regime.

Iran has been a problem since 1979. Nobody did anything about it, not even the great Ronald Reagan. We are wrecking them. It’s not a ground invasion. It won’t be a decades long war. It may or may not lead to regime change, but we won’t be installing a western democracy and a handpicked leader. We won’t be nation building. We will obliterate all their military capabilities and keep assasinating their leadership until someone takes the reins and decides to bend the knee to our demands. At that point we will pull out, and if the Iranian people want to topple that person/govt and install democracy that’s their business. It will be weak enough for them to do it thanks to us. If they don’t do it, we will work with the new leader. If he starts fricking up, we deal with it. That’s why Trump is talking about our military goals and not freeing the Iranian people or regime change. We are doing what is best for the United States and whatever happens over there after those objectives are met is entirely on them. It’s their business, their country, their lives. We aren’t doing it for them. We are just making sure their govt is no longer a threat to us and our allies.

That is what our military is for. It’s why we spend 1 trillion annually on it. We should never get involved in other nations affairs, we should simply quickly and decisively eliminate threats to our nation, our economy, our people and our allies and then get out. I think that is what Rubio is doing. This is not like the campaigns of the past

The truth is we don’t care about brutal regimes. If we did we would be bombing North Korea. Why aren’t we? Because they aren’t holding the world economy hostage by closing a major shipping lane. They are no longer threatening us with nukes. We don’t hear a word from them these days. Why? Because apparently Kim Jong Un has enough sense to see what we are doing to threats and decided “I don’t want that smoke”

The last time I checked genius, the US was not making statements about total irradication of a neighboring country based simply on their religious beliefs. We also we not subverting terrorist groups and cells around the world in attempts to assassinate leaders and terrorize civilians. People like you are delusional.
