Around this time under Biden gas was $5 and inflation 9%.

The inflation under Biden was a permanent tax. It was not transitory. That was a lie

Self inflicted.

Tariffs haven't really worked (among most of the 5-6 options stated as goals for tariffs) outside of NPC talking points.

I bet if you break this down by age, it's younger people who are leading this negative viewpoint. The admin has basically turned its back on them.

He has not dealt with H1B reform on any scale, which is crushing young people (especially men)

Prioritizing inflating housing values to cater to boomer voters.

For better or worse, the techbro wing of MAGA, which was put at the forefront early, is being blamed for AI "Taking jobs" (whether the impact of AI is in dispute, the messaging is clear and the admin has had no response for those people).

You have a bunch of younger people who are facing an economic reality/future that the country hasn't seen since in a long time. There is despair over a terrible outlook and no real future, and certainly a decrease in SOL seen by those who got to ride fat on the pig which left them with 40T in debt and inflation out the arse, with foreigners being given advantages via fedgov to take their jobs and depress wages.

Count me in the 29%. Just imagine how screwed we would’ve been with Kamala. The whole country would be like New York City no thanks!

I don’t think only 29% of Americans approve of Trumps job performance, seems skewed.

I do think it’s fair to say his approval will be taking hits while we are bombing Iran. Military action/war comes with skepticism as it should.

Libs will vote unanimously against his performance.
Also you have a group of “far right” Nick Fuentes type gen-z’s who have been told the Jews are responsible for every single bad thing in this world and are master conspirators, with our only solution being going full nazi again.

And Trump isn’t doing enough for them and they disapprove.

The transitory nature was 100% a tax

The inflation was from Biden and Trump, however. To state otherwise is as dishonest as calling the inflation transitory.

are you struggling to buy groceries? it's ok to admit it if you are. it doesn't necessarily make you less of a man, although it can be an indicator.

If you look at the last five polls published by RCP—those released since gas prices began to climb—they come in at 37% approval, 36%, 35%, 42% and 35% - putting him around 20% underwater

Turns out spending billions fighting a war for Israel isn’t overly popular among Americans struggling to make ends meet.

Who knew?

This echo chamber of a message board, though, will tell themselves something different and then convince themselves their views are the majority.

Sad state of affairs.
