Give a list of the coaches who have done the same or had greater success in their second stop.

The better question is how many were fired & returned?

Petrino is the only one I can think of & he wasn’t brought back as a HC… although he did go 0-7 as their interim coach this year

Petrino coached at Louisvillie in the early 2000’s and was incredible, then coached at Louisvillie about 10 years later after Charlie Strong left for Texas. He didn’t have as much success as his first go around in Louisvillie though.

Mike Riley returned to Oregon St and was much better RD2 than he was at Oregon St RD1.

Bill Snyder is the best example, as he went back to Kansas St after retirement and he took them back to national prominence.

How many head coaches were fired when they had the support of at least 75% of the fan base?

Norm Sloan coached Florida in the '60s, left for NC State and won a national title in '74, came back to Florida in '80. Took Florida to its first 3 NIT appearances from '84-86, then first 3 NCAA tournament appearances in '87 through '89 and won an SEC title in '89. Forced out before the '89-90 season because of an NCAA investigation.

Just because its never been done doesn't mean that it can't or shouldn't be done.

We can play this game both ways. How many coaches weren't under investigation, got caught up in an fbi wiretap that was unrelated to them, it got leaked to the media who went on a multi-year smear campaign, didnt discuss the case as advised by his attorneys, lost his job, and ultimately he nor the school received any penalties AND what he was fired for became legal just over a year later?

Ron Polk had success in his second stint with Mississippi State. It was just shorter because he was older by then.

It's is and was well over 90% approval rating for Wade.

Don't let the handful of retards on the rant make you think otherwise.

Me too, it’s like Dems hate for Trump, no matter what he does the hate outweighs any & everything. It’s so strange.
Still haven’t heard an argument about the Wade over McCantWin coaching that makes any sense, it’s all based on hate. Wade is the better Coach, Recruiter, and definitely has hands down the better record.
SEC Wade 55-31 McCantWin 17-52
Post season Wade NIT 2nd round
NCAA Tourney 3 times, Covid year cancelled though in 2nd place SEC
McCantWin- NIT 1st round beat at home- other than that….. holds worst 4 yr record in the SEC- in history.
Wade- caught on tape talking about $$ recruiting, lawyered up, no backing from admin and fired. Other violations weren’t at LSU.
McCantWin- Great Human Being and turrible bball Coach.
