Will Wade had way more talent every year than Matt has had, Matt has done more with less and to
Be honest Wade kind of under achieved with the talent he had. Most of his teams had multiple nba players. Matt has not had any really.

That
Being said, will Wade is overrated. If Matt can’t recruit we need to
Replace him with someone than can
Both recruit and coach. Which can be someone other than Will Wade….

If it only it were an enormous part of the coach’s job to…get players.

To be even more fair LSUTigers23 hasn't got a clue. How do you consider 17-55 doing more with less. That is the definition of doing less period....jeez!

By all objective metrics, the only area where McMahon has been successful in his tenure here is recruiting. McMahon has had multiple nationally ranked high school recruiting classes and transfer classes, which are objective measurement of suspected quality of players coming in. The fact that those rankings never materialized on the court speaks to the coaching deficiencies, which have been prominent. It possibly suggests poor talent identification by McMahon. However, if McMahon was duped by incorrect talent evaluation, so were the experts considering the rankings of all those classes far exceeded the product we watched on the floor

What? They both had $9-10 MM this year to build a roster. MM went 3-15 in conference. Wade made the tournament.

Wade started 2 true freshman and played a third freshman major minutes in 2019. He went undefeated on the road in the SEC and won the league.

How the hell is this "underachieving"?

man if 17 conference wins in 4 years, with 9 of those in 1 year, is doing more then I would sure hate to see what doing less equates to.

Perhaps I can translate.

Matt isn't very good, but Wade is better. Wade has had more but less now, but Matt has less now, but has had more before. He can have more but Wade will have less, but he will do more with less. Matt has done less with more, but there's less more than there will be more less.

This is dumb. Go look at CMM class rankings. The problem is that CMM hasn't been able to retain or develop any of his recruits. That was supposed to be one of his strengths.

No, no they didn't. LSU was at 8. And two of the players that took up a lot of that money either didn't play or barely played in SEC games before being out for the season with injury.

Yeah, and they weren't exactly world beaters even when they played. LSU's record against P5 with Thomas was exactly 3-5.

ETA. I assume you are trying to argue that 3-15 was overachieving because we had two injuries...
