I'm still waiting for the logical reason we are at war with Iran - we know it isn't nukes

According to Trump’s own words and the reports of his own administration

I've yet to hear anyone articulate a logical reason other than “this is Iran’s chance for freedom!”

Which is exactly what we said going into Iraq after the WMD narrative was shut down.

I'd be ok with Trump saying the actual clear truth, like he did with Venezuela. If he said “I just don't like them and want to blow them up”…ok, at least it's out there.

But say something that doesn't blatantly contradict what's already been said/done. Just be straight up.

How often do you get from under that rock you seemingly exist under? POTUS has repeatedly given his multiple reasons for this war. Get past your hate & just listen.

I'm not saying people have to agree with it but I think you could make an argument that the current radical Iranian regime having so much geographical proximity to a passage of water that is vital to so much of the world's energy was a problem that would've needed a resolution at some point.

The reason? It’s all Israel. Trump can’t say no to Bibi.

I may be wrong but I believe we attacked Iran for funding terror organizations around the world.

Iran may have never “directly” killed US soldiers, but they certainly have through their proxies.

I believe President Trump wants to leave behind a quieter more stable world. Iran shouting death to America and death to Israel created uncertainty and instability.

That’s my .02

The best justification, is based off how they are acting now.

You cannot let a country have the ability to shutdown global oil supply. The threat of Iran shutting down international water ways is justification enough.

The fact they are just shooting random rockets and drones at neighboring states to be arse holes is another.

You either believe a confrontation with Islam is inevitable due to the philosophical differences between the secular West, with Christians being the predominant religion or you believe the West and Islam can coexist.

I'm not sure what a majority of Americans think about this^^^^ but I know there are many on both sides who believe the confrontation between the West and Islam is inevitable, and if it is inevitable you don't wait for the Islamic Regime to obtain a nuclear weapon.

The negotiations weren't going well about what I assume was stopping any and all nuclear weapon development. We want the enriched uranium and for them to not have long range missles. They killed 30,000 protestors. All have been mentioned as reasons for the attack...which ones do you dispute? Is there any reason you would be ok with us attacking Iran? Should the US have just waited for Iran to hit us with something and then react?

That reason alone is why they should have been bombed into rubble 30 years ago. We just now have a president who takes protecting America seriously.

That's bullshite, Iran's IRGC has directly attacked and killed US troops.

Almost 200 significant terrorist attacks against US, Israeli, and others since 1979 by Iran and Iranian proxies. That doesn't include hundreds directed against other ME countries.

I’d be ok if he came out and said “we want the oil because money talks, that’s pretty much it”

He did that with Venezuela and I was ok with it

Trump was around in 1979 and understands, like anyone with a functioning brain and not afflicted with terminal TDS, the current Iranian regime cannot possess nuclear weapons.
In prosecuting the action the world has discovered the Iranian regime lied about all of their ballistic missile and nuclear pursuits. And this doesn't even touch their funding of proxies who are responsible for most of the turmoil in that part of the world.
