And you can find examples just like that on just about any issue Trump has ever made statements about. Tariffs and immigration maybe, possibly, being the notable exceptions.

So a hundred or so useful idiots that are staged by the regime and exaggerated by US media (using deceptive camera angles) is enough to go down a path that could end up with my kids in a ground war there?

And, FTR, my basic position is that, yes, Iran is more than just a menace, and are the main source of Middle East instability. My issue is that it’s left to the US to do anything about it because the UN is corrupt and useless, paid for by preening Europeans and kowtowing to all sorts of third world grifters.

He is eliminating a serious terrorist threat. He is also playing the long game. By controlling the Venezuelan and Iranian oil, he will cut the legs off of China and their plan for world domination. They will no longer be able to invade Taiwan and take over the chip industry. It also puts us in a much greater position to negotiate for rare earth minerals.

Yeah, 10 years ago, this board was much more hospitable. There was far greater diversity of opinion. There was far less “no true scotsman” purity test bs. The Trump campaign changed this board for the worse. That, and the shutdown of several other football message boards around the same time. This added a lot of additional posters who tended to skew significantly older and more socially conservative than the board had been prior.
The board’s makeup, discourse, and posting styles changed drastically from 2015-2017, and we have all been worse for it.
