Why are y’all obsessed with Wade when coaches at places like high point, St. Louis, vcu, etc are out there showing their x and o chops.

Hire a student of the game and let him build the program.

Wade will come in and bring back his silly iso street ball bs which only “worked” because he broke the then rules and paid good players to come to BR.

Will Wade was exposed this year. NIL took away his greatest strength-buying players.

Now the great x and o coaches can buy players AND put together great systems.

While Wade stands there not having a clue how to strategize a gameplan.

What?!

He took an NC State team to the tournament in year 1 that finished 5-15 in conference play last year and 16th place in the ACC.

He’s not the only candidate but to say he “got exposed” this year is willfully ignorant of the turnaround he orchestrated

The NC state admin went out and bought him a bunch of shiny fancy star players.

He proceeded to go 19-14 with them and lose a play in game

NC State narrowly lost to Texas—the same Texas team that just knocked off Gonzaga.

A statement that directly contradicts your previous contention that “NIL took away his greatest strength-buying players”

But surely by now you have remembered that you are commenting on a baseball thread, and realized that even two-time national championship coaches have difficulty hitting on top transfer classes

I don’t think Wade is the only candidate or necessarily the best candidate. But he may be the best fit for LSU as a cult hero that could immediately inject life back into the program

He is not. If as may said about “sauces” if he was coming the day after he lost or in the subsequent 3-4 days he would have left to get started. I put part of the blame on the Matt Masconas of the world the few that were left that went with the LSU line of run it back with CMM because of money. That’s fine just be honest and say we don’t want to pay $15 million for a non guaranteed product next year on a profit generating sport.

IF you're right, and I'm not saying you're not, WHY IN THE HELL are they allowing the current EPIC FAILURE to twist in the wind by not releasing a statement that he's staying?

You know damned well the lack of an endorsement is KILLING HIM on the recruiting/portal trail. It's also making it IMPOSSIBLE to hire any new assistant he may have an eye on.

Before you say the portal hasn't opened yet, that's true. But there are undoubtedly conversations going on between agents and program GMs or even coaches about players that will enter the portal. And Wade can be working on signing these players currently, whether he'll be in BR or Raleigh.

I'm not guaranteeing a Wade return, but based on things that are/aren't taking place, I believe LSU already privately has Wade committed, or are still working on him.

quite the opposite. He’s the Lane of college basketball and understands the portal better than most. Tireless work ethic to find the diamonds in the rough as well like Eason. Understands analytics, etc. Give him just top 20 in nil funding and he’s going to put together monster rosters.

Fair enough. I welcome a proper search.
