That's the #1 problem right now. The bats have to come alive better than that.

I haven't given up on this team by any means, but poor hitting cost the Tigers this series

19 hits over 3 games is wild. I really need Milam to not be hitting .242 on the year. We need him in more than just the infield.

Will Jay ever swallow his pride and get a hitting coach?

Agreed, pitching has been good enough generally. However, they can’t be expected to hold teams scoreless.Come on batters!

He was awful in SEC play last year before turning it on in the postseason

Not sure why we expected different

Pitching was the only reason we were competitive this weekend at all. God awful approaches at the plate, rolling over everything. Against a good defensive team, we’re cooked

That and a defensive swap at 2nd that gets DP ball to get out of the inning and he gets zero outs.

Milam has the slowest start of any player I have ever seen in LSU baseball history.

He has been slow to start every year.

Figured by year 3 he would have it figured out but not at all.

It’s so odd

sub .250 on a guy hitting in the top 3-4 spots every game sans this one without an influx of homers just ain’t fun right now. You’d hope and pray DC and Jake can be protected once they get on base and the Monster just ain’t doing it right now. It sucks to watch this much talent not gel quickly and flounder around at the bottom of the barrel.

I mean hitting is hard. Basic fundamental defense isn’t. You can win with pitching and defense when you aren’t hitting. But not this team

That’s how they won last year.

It's a little reminiscent of part of last season; the difference was that we had two starters who were nearly unhitable and better defense

gave up a shite ton of runs last weekend and lost a series

come back this weekend and you only give up nine runs over 27 innings and you lose the series.

Bad teams figure out a way to lose no matter the circumstances.

Last year had all 3. Offense went cold for a little bit but pitching and D wasn’t their full identity

Guys, Milam has been torching the ball lately. He’s just having horrible luck with all of his hard hit balls going right to a defender. There is not much he can do about that. Just gotta hope those hard hits start finding the hole at some point. Milam is getting better contact consistently than just about anybody in the lineup right now.

You jackwads are acting like Milam isn’t even getting the bat on the ball or just hitting soft pop ups.
