I think it’s entirely possible he just isn’t an SEC hitter.
He put up decent numbers at a small school. That doesn’t always necessarily translate to the next level.

We’re a regional team sure. But this ain’t an Omaha squad—and that’s ok. We cannot expect to be at that level every single season.

I 100% agree with that, but he’s been struggling before SEC play. He’s struggling against ALL pitching.
He’s going up to the plate with a walk in mind, and falling behind in the count every single at bat.
