He was having a horrendous spring, he needs to be moved both for his career and for the Nats to recoup something from the pick they used on him.

He had a really really bad spring. Hit .103 with a .309 OPS

As a Nats fan, we are basically the Marlins now. They should trade him, Wood, and any other player with a lot of potential and rebuild every 3-4 years. Lerners need to sell.

I'm honestly shocked at how bad his bat has been in the majors. I never thought he'd struggle like he is.

Batted 208 in 2025 (85 games)
Batting 100 in 2026 spring training.
Changed his number from 45 to 3 with no luck.
Hope he got his degree because he won't be in MLB much longer.

He’s not proven to be close to a MLB hitter yet. Hope he gets there, but he belongs in the Minors for now.

It’s a tough game. At some point it’s all about how much you want it compared to the next guy. You wake up at 6 am to workout and the other guy is up at 4. You think 100 reps is enough and the next guy is doubling that. You just become a metric based of a value. Yeah we paid 5 million for you but we have this guy that’s cheaper and will produce close to the same numbers.

Skenes is absolutely killing it though. Doing well enough for the both of them. Maybe we can find Dylan a gymnast girlfriend to distress him.
I think Crews will be back and will at least be on someone's roster for years if he doesn't live up to his potential.

Josh Smith also didn't get called up a year after his last college baseball game, and he hit sub .200 his first two years with the Rangers and got sent back to the minors
