Why would 200 House Dems vote against deporting people who commit welfare fraud?

This is obviously worse than prostitution. It is very hard for me to wrap my head around the extensive illegality associated with the immigrant fraudsters yet accepted by the democratic US Congress members.

Can anyone make this make sense? Is there a historical record for such?

Might those dems be receiving political donations from these immigrant fraudsters?

Man... it's really simple. ANYTHING Trump or they perceive as a Trump initiative, they are against.
This is why there is zero possibility of any reconciliation between American First folks and anyone voting for Marxist Dems. They have zero concern about whats best for "we the people ", its soley about resisting Trump and gaining power.

I don't know the specific bill, but all types of fraud are already a CIMT, and some are aggravated felonies, so an extra set of laws about it is probably unnecessary. That said, the Dems aren't very consistent or principled on things like not passing unnecessary legislation, so they probably just did it because of being "pro-immigrant."

Because they would lose 2,000 votes?

Why do we need a bill about illegals getting welfare?

If an illegal or legal immigrant can't make it on their own, they don't deserve to be in this country.

Not a single non-citizen should receive any governmental assistance.

Because of voting losses, creating a larger buffer zone on democrat fraud

It's the only way they can retain power and destroy our country...that's the agenda + they get rich from all of their ngo's and kickbacks.

This country will not fall to an outside force.

No foreign military, not even the religion of peace, will take us out.

The Democratic Party is the enemy we must fear.

Trump wants to make America great again.

Democrats want to destroy America.

That's why they oppose him.

It's about more than just OMB.

If they get rid of him, we're next.

Correct. First question asked of a potential immigrant is "do you have the means to support yourself until you become a citizen and therefore eligible for social benefits?". With understanding being that if you can't you don't come and if you slip while here, you go home.

If the Democrats meant what they say, that "illegals can't get welfare" then a law that deports those committing welfare fraud should be moot. Right? Right?

You might have to actually read the article.

The existing law already allows them to be deported when convicted.

The article says they opposed it because it authorizes deportation for an allegation or charged offense, before a determination of guilt of the crime even occurs.

You can't live in this country as an illegal and not commit fraud of some sort. It's impossible.

Fake names, fake social security numbers, etc.

But leftists have told us thousands of times that illegals don't get welfare of any kind.

According to them it does.

But also...

GOP lawmakers countered that there is no language in the bill that prevents noncitizens from being prosecuted for alleged fraud prior to removal from the country.

One would think we could actually see the language and it would be clear.
