South Walton County Sheriff’s Office is a joke

Seriously… My social media feed is flooded with their BS. What is their end goal with acting like douche’s on social media bragging about evicting spring breakers from their rental houses and sometimes even arresting them. Every single arrest has been about petty shite such as fake id’s, mip’s, etc. and then they feel the need to brag that their Jail is 45 miles away from where the majority of these kids are staying. At this point, just close all short term rentals for all of March-early April if they are really going to bitch this much/act like tools about kids on Spring Break.

Apparently the new trend is for law enforcement agencies, usually Sheriff's Offices, to try to be cool on social media.
Ascension, Livingston, St. Tammany Sheriff's Office all post some pretty cringey stuff on Facebook. Maybe 1 out of 20 posts is worth a chuckle

I empathize with the spring breakers and I think those Karen neighbors are being overly Karen-y, but at the same time I think the Sheriff's Office's social media posts are hilarious.

That's exactly it. For years, Walton County has gone out of its way to put a lid on college spring break there. The watched things get way out of hand in Bay County and they have been determined to stop it from happening to them. You may or may not agree with their actions, but it is very much a deliberate strategy.

Kids on spring break in Ft Walton are by and large assholes who have zero respect for property, traffic or laws in general. They clog up roadways with a congestion of loud vehicles and lewd acts.
They aren’t just wild spring breakers out having a little fun anymore. They are like cockroaches who move into an area, make it shite then go home.
