Most people in today’s world don’t have that problem. Most people are too lazy to work that hard or even half that work ethic. It’s still possible to work hard and have some balance.

And likely resent him for it. Not for working hard, but for foregoing everything else in order to do so.

Time is the one thing you can't buy back. There has to be a balance, or else you're writing sad paragraphs in a book of what ifs.

His kids would have rather him be involved in their life more. He will never get that time back.

Hard work is fine but as time goes along, he will realize that he doesn’t actually really know his kids all that well

Life is nothing more than a series of trade offs. No one can have it all.

We make our choices and then we live with the consequences.

Somewhat ironic that for most of your life you have more time than money.

Then at some point you realize you’ve got more money than time.

Could be decades, years, days, hours or minutes but the tipping point comes to us all.

Can’t get more time.

Use it wisely.

The concept of making money is a weird thing. At one end, you think it’s never enough and afraid to run out of it. At the other end, the amount you make is after a certain amount is meaningless because you’ll never be able to use it. Finding a good balance is the key because the whole point of money is to maximize joy of our limited time on this earth.
