Seriously, how do we win if they don't quit?

Clearly its an arse beating, but we lose if there is no regime change.

Unless, we completely eliminate their ability to attack allies and we open the shipping lanes.

Is there any other way where we win?

Is there any other way we can even stop this?

I mean It seems like we need some people on the ground arming some folks and directing close air support

Arm the Iranians. Kill their checkpoints in big cities with tinny drones like we first saw today.

Destroy whatever infrastructure we still need to. Wish them well. Dust our hands and tell them good look, establish anything hostile we start again.

I am guessing is sort of the aimed for goal here.

Drop a MOAB on Kharg Island. In 1988, POTUS Trump mentioned Kharg Island regarding in his response to a question about Iran harming US citizens.

We cant pull our forces back until they stop bombing the Persian Gulf.

Surely this scenario was anticipated as the most likely.

Destroying that place would be stupid and would be a last resort. We do not want to cut off anything new that takes over that may be thankful to us to not be able to make any money until it is fixed.

Take it with special forces if want to cut off any of their current outflow

Isnt that how we did it in Afghanistan? With special forces fighting with locals and calling in air support?

Israel commented on this. They have a plan for the Iranians when they are done hitting all the major targets.

I'm 100% certain Mossad and the CIA, along with SOFs are on the ground.

The Iranians are going to have to go the insurgency route for some time before they can get a grip on the country. Probably a lot of defectors from the regular military, but the IRGC thugs will go down swinging. They'll kill anyone.

I'm very curious as to the extent we arm them.

Early on, yes. We put plenty of boots on the ground in due time.

Trump will stop at some point, declare victory, and the regime will still be in place. No one thought through the end game on this. Hell, we are still allowing them to ship their oil to China. Someone make it make sense.

It is how you send a message to the rest of the bad guys all over the world. We will destroy what matters to you the most if you do not comply. Why slap something when you can knock it the frig' out!!

I am kind of disappointed at the fact that Trump claimed victory while Iran has control of the Horn of Hormuz. Whatever the Trump administration is doing they need to kick it up a notch. Cause the Clerics don't give a fck.

You'd think we would have learned this shite over the past 50 years and half dozen regime changes.

These people have zero problems engaging in guerrilla warfare down to the last man and civilian they can use as a shield.

What? Both Bibi and trump have clearly stated, multiple times that regime change will be up to the Iranians. We and Israel are clearly going to arm them .

They managed to strike Iran in a coordinated opening strike down to the minute, yet we don't have endings phases? Just willy nilly? That's not based in reality.

You expect our military to publish their plans in the Washington post less than 2 weeks into the war?
