Illegals have been getting tax returns

If they actually had their wages withheld for taxes, I have absolutely no problem with an illegal getting a return. It's the ones getting money "back" without putting anything into the system is who I have a problem with, whether they are a citizen or not. All taxes should be illegal.

Who knows how much in taxes they paid? The main point of them filing for taxes is to get the Free Money that is the Earned Income Tax Credit.
EITC is an absolute give away to low income people for each child in their household - $3000 per year per child - regardless of whether you had to pay very little in income taxes. It's a welfare give away.
The fact that millions of illegal aliens have been getting the EITC for who knows how many decades is just another example of how very far the USA is from healing and getting better from the current state of Rot. Trump is working very hard to fix things, but, they are trying to kill him because he's doing this.
I do not believe that either major US political party has any intention of truly doing what's necessary to fix the USA.

You need a SSN to file and SSN for dependents. Not sure how this works.

It seems like it would be easy to flag the ITIN numbers with an expiration date and require proof of legal status before accepting a return.
With the amount of CIP and information gathering they want us to do in the financial services industry, this is pretty wild.
