That’s kind of crazy.

They do this every year. Then go away from their park and look very normal.

Their right field fence is 290 feet from home plate.

They stay at that pace then they’ll obliterate LSUs longstanding 188 HR season record lol. 61 HRs in only 18 or so games is absurd. They must be using them 90s Easton missile bats.

Have to compensate for Wes Johnson’s little dick syndrome

it shouldn't count with their little league park

Ummm…they are on pace to tie certainly not “obiiterate”
And it won’t continue in league play
Unless bats are changed again that record will stand forever

Tennessee also

They have a very friendly hitter ballpark. As well as many other SEC teams. They won't have that same success in other ball parks. Especially if they were to make it to Omaha.

Elevation plays into this as well, Truist park (Georgia Area) is the 3rd highest above sea level behind Colorado and Arizona.

It won’t. Tennessee made a run at it

That’s an impressive number regardless of ball park size!

Athens is at 636 ft above sea level, I doubt that impacts the ball flight that much.

Big Fatty should have signed there

Yea Jax doesn’t know Georgia geography very well.
Athens is way further east in lower elevation than Atlanta where you start to get into the hills right before the Appalachian mountains.
It’s the fact UGA plays in a Cracker Jack box that is inflating their home run numbers. Of course the aren’t the only ones playing in a tiny park as the Vols, gators and Kentucky all play in small parks.

Stand corrected, I didn’t think Athens dropped off about 4-500 feet being 70 miles east from the metro.
