Watched it last night and really enjoyed it. Kinda felt like Battleship meets Predator and the main alien is like Ed 209 on steroids. Hoping this does well so they will make a War Machine 2.

I was expecting a bit more. Anytime I watch military movies, when regular stuff gets unrealistic I sort of lose interest. I did watch it all the way through, but would have liked to see them fight the aliens as a whole at the end.

Funny enough the only thing that bothered me was that he was everyone was clean shave, but he was allowed to have stubble while going thru RASP. Other than that, I thought it was a lot of fun. I think they're setting up the big war for the second movie.

Found it very entertaining, shite ton better than a lot of over hyped movies in the genre.

Saw this thread so I watched it last night.

It is okay and I enjoyed it. It wasn't great but kept me entertained. The alien vehicle cgi wasn't the best but I did like the scanning effect.

The dialogue was cringe inducing but it was entertaining.

Should have just called it Reacher -The Prequel. 3 stars at best because you can't kill Reacher.

Saw this last night; it's a watchable popcorn flick and very predictable but worth the watch if you go in not expecting much

I understand that and agree a bit. I still enjoyed it a good bit.

This will probably be the closest we ever get to a live Action Metal Gear Solid.

But I will say…

****spoilers*****

that them having no real bullets or way to fight back may have been in the trailer but I missed it.

It turned it from less of a military movie into a survival horror chase until they have a fighting chance when they get the MRAP.

With the amount of shite they put 7 through it started feeling like Nordberg from Naked Gun.

I’m normally very easy to please on Netflix movies if they hit certain markers. The bad acting stood out too much for me. Only like 2 or 3 people who had more than 3 minutes of screen time knew how to act.

Having no weapons , didn’t do it for me. The machine doing a Michael Myers walk most of the movie while chasing them. Seems it can fly, it also started moving very fast when chasing them in the vehicle they had. The movie focused too much on him crossing the finish line. Lots of other stuff…..

You keep the lead, give them some weapons, and make the machine smarter you got a great Netflix movie.

Saying all that, I watched the entire movie.

It moving so slow made me wonder if it was the same machine that was tracking them also took out the headquarters. I don’t know, that part seemed a bit convoluted. At first , I thought losing the weapons would make them less of a target, but then that didn’t matter. It was for mobility more than anything.

Would've been cooler as an R-rated Decepticon Shockwave solo movie
