Let’s get a proven coach to develop these young guys and see what happens.

I’m so tired of this product.

You want a steak but at the end of the day, all they're serving is Ham.

I think Borrego is getting all anybody can get out of this smorgasbord.

Roughly the same percentage as Willie.

This year?

Because we don't have Ingram and downgraded from CJ to Poole.

Don’t bring context to the discussion. Just blindly follow the stats.

I'm super confident that Gayle Benson is going to pay up to do this, totally!!

The context that Borrego is nothing more than a proven mediocre coach in the same tier as Willie but our fanbase blindly propped him up as an offensive savant even though he was on Willie's staff for 3 years.

That context?

Is he Catholic? Does he go to church on Sunday? Does he like horse racing? Can he do a press conference like a car salesman? If so he qualifies.

We’ve been doing this on this board for fifteen years.

I know for sure before the Monty hire and before the Gentry hire we wanted us some Thibs.

Yep and I’m pretty sure on the MSB before that.

At this point I’d take the casket of Red Auerbach on the bench if we can win games.

No. The context that explains how we went from 30th in scoring with 108 ppg to 16th with 116 ppg since Willie was fired.

James Borrego absolutely deserves the job. He's gotten way more out of this poorly constructed roster than Willie ever did. He has Zion playing off ball and 'slashing' instead of the idiotic ISO, dribble-dribble, 'Point Zion' nonsense. The Pelican defense (Willie's Specialty) is much improved under Borrego (with a long way, yet, to go). His rotations are based on performance and not the name on the back side of the jersey. He's giving Fears and Queen 'run', but not at the expense of the team's performance. Karlo and Yves are immensely improved. In-game coaching has all but eliminated the 'Fourth Quarter Collapses" Pelican fans have become accustomed to.

No one could ask for more from this bunch than what JB has given them. Make it permanent.

Watching all the off ball movement last night was beautiful! I don't know that Borrego is the long term answer, but I am glad he gets to get his shot. He is markedly better than Willie "I don't draw x's and o's" green.

And if for some unknown reasons one of Thibs, Malone, Jenkins, etc. agrees to come to NOLA, they will want to win now, so more draft pics will be gone.
Either give JB a proper chance to see if he can build on this year and further develop Fears, Queen and Missi or hire some young coach (like Suns, Spurs and Celtics did), but don't hire Darvin Ham type of coach...
