What do y'all have and how do you keep it secure plus out of sight?

The idea of "truck gun" is awful.
Either carry it or leave it home. A loaded gun "hidden" in a truck is a great way for bad shite to happen
If you insist, a lock box cable locked to the seat frame.

It's been a while since this argument came up on this board. I was getting worried...

I have a tuffy lock drawer under the drivers seat. That being said, I almost never use it because my pistol stays on me 99% of the time.

All you really need, add a military camo net for cover…

I agree. Truck guns is better.
I keep at least two pistols and two rifles, maybe more. Pistols in the console, one rifle in the back floorboard, one behind/under back seat.
I’m deep in the country most of the time so ymmv.

Blanket statements are awful.
Yes, there are probably conditions that would make keeping a gun in a vehicle is irresponsible. If you work in downtown Atlanta you probably shouldn't leave your 1911 on the dashboard, but that's a long way from a lockbox under your seat in Dublin.

Taurus GC3. It rides on the hump on the floor in front of the center console with a microfiber cloth on top of it.

Where do I put my gun when I have to go into work? Guns aren't allowed.

I knew id get downvoted into oblivion for that, but its true. An unsecured loaded handgun is rediculous. It should be either attached to you or under lock and key.

I need to rephrase my question. What type of rifle or shotgun do you keep in your truck?
Posted on 3/6/26 at 8:32 am to RetiredSaintsLsuFan
PSA dagger in the center console with two mags

Long gun lock box under the rear seats of my truck. Bolted down.

I keep my CC with me daily, and bring a Sig Rattler LT in a locked bag on road trips.

Lock’er down traveler underneath rear seat, cable locked. Only purpose is to store PCC for a very unlikely SHTF scenario. My truck is in the garage 90% of the time. If it will be parked somewhere I’m worried about it getting broken into, I take that one out.
I also have a console vault in the center console to store my CCW if I need to take it off.

Both less than $300 pistols.
Why does everyone keep cheap guns as truck guns?
Is it in case they get stolen?

None, all my firearms leave my truck when I exit the vehicle. If I can't carry after I get out it just stays at home. I live in Houston where these fricktard thieves break into trucks for the sole purpose of taking firearms and they are pretty good at it.
