Make sure to check ALL the coverage. Other than the possible hit on the school that was mere blocks from a military base (which is tragic no matter whose ordnance it actually was [signs point to failed launch of SAM by IRC]), all targets by US and Israel were either leadership, military or nuclear related. No civilian targeting. None. Clear effort to avoid collateral damage.

The school was reportedly struck by one of Iran's own missiles that failed after launch.

But who can say at this point.

They’re not used to decisive, clear execution, and the spectacle of American might. We can impose our will, anywhere, anytime, and people are not used to it anymore. The world has changed, but we still own the battle space.

And how does that NOT make the US warmongers?

How many wars have other major nations started over the past few decades? Now do the US.

Its just the same bullshite they ran with regarding hospitals in gaza.

I remember one hospital going through the circle of 1)claimed to be full of innocent people -> 2) found to be full of terrorists using patients as hostages at least 3 times.

I’m concerned about blowback and the potential for quagmire. I don’t like how we no longer declare war via Congress, but I understand that there is likely no putting that genie back in the bottle. I have zero sympathy for the Iranian regime. It sucks that civilians will be casualties, but the Iranian regime butchered protesters by the tens of thousands in recent weeks, so I’m not going to get apoplectic over that.

I am not hating on Trump or defending Iran here, but the Bush era War on Terror has made me incredibly cynical and skeptical of U.S. involvement in Middle East regime change.

This the the first measured, thoughtful take I've seen on here. Good on you.

Our current Congress cannot even pass a bill to declare citizens and ONLY citizens of the U tied States of America are able to vote in our elections despite the wishes of their constituents.

Trump is on the correct side of history today. The sky screaming of anything he does or does not at any point in time is beyond absurd.

You should be skeptical of any information coming out.

First it was "51 Iranian children killed, 60 students wounded after joint US-Israel strikes hit girls' school in Iran".

Then it was "a failed missle launch by Iran".

Then is was Mossad/CIA terrorists. "Iranian sources state that an attempt by a commando force of 7 fighters to infiltrate the Haji Abad missile base in Bushehr province was foiled."

Early information in fast-moving conflicts is almost always incomplete, conflicting, or shaped by whoever is releasing it. Governments, media outlets, and regional actors all push out statements before the full picture is known.

A valid concern, and it's possible Iran turns to shite just like Iraq did. But, the chances are better that it will work out.

I agree with you, but I also understand the reality that nothing can go before Congress, even in classified sessions, without it being immediately leaked by staffers or the Congresscritters themselves.

I 100% believe that if Trump would have brought this to Congress in a secret session, the Iranian government would have known the strike was coming before the zoom call was closed.

Who was the congressman on Fox this morning that said they can't trust Talib or Omar Ilhin, that they knew they would have tipped the Iranians off?
He listed them by name.

Schumer knew, he kept his mouth shut.

No longer? That’s not a new thing. A President has broad authority for military action. Military action does not necessarily equate to a full scale “war.” Congress hasn’t declared war in 3/4 of a century. This didn’t start with Trump. At least Trump doesn’t implement full scale American boots on the ground, long protracted bullshite wars that drag on for years so the MIC can perpetually fleece tax payers for money and sacrifice American troops to war profiteer.

Again, if we had it your way we would continue the endless fighting of Iran’s proxies.

You are the warmonger.
