I've noticed my cell reception inside the stadium is way better now than it was five years ago. Things are definitely improving around there.

Can they use some of that on concessions? Less selfies, more decent food options.

Good. Maybe my #CrowdCam selfie might actually go through.

How could that possibly cost $45M?
Posted on 2/26/26 at 10:16 am to Roy Curado
45MM? The last expansion was only 75MM or so.

Finally. So tired of trying to rub one out in those nasty stalls at halftime with no internet.

Government is involved.

That’s what I was wondering. Seems like they could do a set up in a small city for that cost.

40 million in kickbacks to Jeff, LSU and NIL then 5 million in equipment.

I'd wonder if this is Greater Baton Rouge network upgrades and Tiger Stadium is just in the area that's being upgraded.

I went to a game at Kentucky and they didn’t have public Internet at Kroger Field. I thought that was odd.

Dear God we gonna be able to stream at tailgates.

cell towers on top of the field goal posts. quite the delicate balancing act

Extra charge on your bills incoming. Investing like in "free phone" with plan

Shouldn't cost more than 1 million

They probably added in the cost of running and maintaining them, along with their commercials, because some boss said we need to show a bigger investment.

What is the ROI in this? How do they recoup $$45M from having 100,000 people on their network for 3 hrs, six times year?
Posted on 2/26/26 at 10:28 am to Roy Curado
it'll never be ready in time

Booo. Going off the grid was part of the game day fun. Live in the moment.
