This is a big wow. Now I'm suspecting CSP is not long for this world In Denver.

Either Sean is about to retire for good or not long for Denver.

I couldn’t imagine Denver getting rid of him. He was one injured qb away from the superbowl.

I agree. I think he's thinking about hanging it up.

Am I missing something. He didn’t call all the plays in New Orleans. What’s strange about this ?

From what I gather its the only way they were keeping Webb.

This never happened in NO because he wasnt afraid of losing Pete Carmichael lol

I’m shocked people dont realize that he gave it to Carmichael a couple of seasons during his tenure here. Webb is an up and coming offensive mind. They just went to the AFCCG and lost their qb going into it. How on earth anyone thinks this ks the end of him in Denver is comical. He’s still a top 2-3 coach in football.

Correct. When he broke his leg and tore ligaments Carmichael called the plays and kept that role even when Payton came back. I believe it may have happened one other time but this isn’t total newsworthy. Webb will be there maybe 1-2 more years and Payton will be running the show i assume when that happens.

Yeah, he'll waffle at some point. If he doesn't though than maybe he's grown more as a head coach. He's basically saying he's a CEO type of coach now but maybe not unfolding like he wanted?

I didn't care for his fake retirement and all of that, but I've also let go of whatever it was before after he left. Either you want to be the Saints coach, or you don't. But he did do us all a solid by winning a Super Bowl.

being an ungrateful a-hole is no way to live.

Wasn't Webb a pretty tall QB for Texas Tech back in the 2010s?

SP throw his QB under the bus after the injury in a few different news media sessions. Then Bo got super pissed and talked about coach breaking HIPPA violations for talking about his ankle surgeries

Probably has something to do with that as well as not wanting to lose and up and coming OC

Sean gonna have a mutiny on his hands with the team and Denver will have to pick between a HC or players

There was a game here and there outside 2012 where he would let Pete get in his infamous bag. But yea im surprised his USSR-sized ego is letting him make this move.

If I recall correctly, he did it in a season that he wanted to focus more on the entire team and started meddling with the defense. Let's see what happens with Denver's defense this year

He's starting to get older, maybe he trusts Webb enough to where he doesn't want or need to do it himself anymore. He'll still be on the headset so it's not like he's completely out of the offense.
