They’re having one this weekend in Tiger Stadium. I’m wondering what kind of food they serve and is it buffet style. And how long it usually takes?

Don't know about this event, but everyone I know that was in or involved with Ducks Unlimited are great people. Go and grab a bite to eat and support them. IF you leave hungry, tons of food options around. But last event I went to was a crawfish boil a few years ago and I left full.

Many

They’re a pretty good time. Throw a couple hundred on some raffles. Food is typically decent, lots of drinking.

I went to one with a buddy about 30 years ago. Good food and there was a large silent auction.

Been to a few in Lafayette. Free bar, great food and some really cool stuff to bid on.

Screw DU!!! I went to one years ago before I learned/realized DU doesn’t give a frick about anything south of Oklahoma. This event was catered, buffet style, the food was good best I can remember. Don’t remember exactly how long it lasted but I would guess we were there around 3.5-4hrs. My table drank a LOT and spent way too much money. Take as much money as you can afford to spend, I assume it would be pretty boring watching everybody else win/buy items.
Highlight of the night was watching two brothers 8-10 years old bidding against each other for one of the gun auctions. By the time the dad realized what was going on they had bid at least an extra grand against each other…he grabbed them both and bear hugged them to make sure they couldn’t raise their paddles

Don’t go! It’s a scam.

Raise money to save the ducks. Only to blast them to smithereeens in a few months.

Very cruel premise.

We have been to a couple. I dont remember what we ate but we won raffles (different ones in our group) and bought different things. It was fun.

Years ago we went in Ruston, my ole man was bidding on a live auction but this drunk guy in front of him kept thinking the auctioneer was pointing at him.

It was pretty funny

The blind raffles are pretty good, a lot of folks win guns, hunts, outdoor gear etc

It’s just the south stadium club.

Back in the 80s it was held in the PMAC, then DU started heating ponds and put nets up across the midwest. They've downsized considerably since then.
