Just took 3 from #7 TCU and now will face Tennessee, Texas A&M, and Mississippi State this weekend in Arlington

No, this isn’t a schedule comparison post. We play all those teams too. More interested in seeing if Tenner and Aggy are as fraudulent as they’ve appeared and if the cowbells should be taken as seriously as their ranking. Looking forward to following that series

Matchups like these are rare this early in the season. Definitely interested in these games.

I got a free weekend from Girl's Volleyball. I'm going to go check out Tenner and UCLA.

Aggies - Preseason #1 last year to not even making the postseason under a new coach, don't see any reason to expect much more this year.

Tennessee - Similar situation as the aggies the year before, lost their really good coach but still came in with high expectations. You should absolutely expect a slide, how far is yet to be determined but losing 2 of 3 to Kent state is a terrible start

Miss St - Also a new coach, but a proven winner. Personally I am sold on this being a legit team.

I agree with this.

but then you say this, O’Connor had the preseason #2 team last year and also failed to make the tournament, yet people somehow ignore this because of A&M collapse. He’s only won 1 game in Omaha since his title in ‘15. I still think state will be a good team but they’re ranked way too high and not a top 10 team imo.

O’Connor may be past his prime in terms of winning a NC, but he’s still likely a top 5 coach that will get MSU to Omaha soon.

Will these be available on ESPN or is this part of some one off subscription like some of these tournaments?

I’m not sure you should be taken seriously

Yes that Virginia team was a huge disappointment last year
they did lose the entire FSU series due to the campus shooting and lost out on a pretty big datapoint but it probably shouldn't have come down to that

he is at a better baseball program with better resources so he should be able to capitalize on that

It will be on FloSports.

FloSports has some early season tournaments and some smaller conference rights, like the CAA I think. They also handle some of the summer leagues also.

So it's more than just a one off, but it's also expensive for what you get and probably not something most people here would want long term.

I watch a lot of baseball in general, and I've never wanted to sign up for FloSports.

It's $30, and it appears you can watch on your TV and not have to cast it from your phone or computer. That's a plus. Will be some good games. I'll probably pass because I won't have time to watch a bunch of games (except the tigers) this weekend plus I'll be in the box on Sunday...

And, at least they put UCLA against Tenn, A&M, and Moo St. - gave them the hard schedule.

FloSports from what I remember the first weekend of the season when OU played TCU and such, those streams didn't get killed on the Tube of You

FloSports put some of the games for free on YouTube on opening day. I can't speak to any pirated streams being taken down. I do know that they don't allow Wheels to make abbreviate versions of their games for YouTube, like ESPN and D1 Baseball do.
