St. Tammany Parish has closed parts of I-12 due to heavy smoke and low visibility due to a large wood fire.

I-12 is closed from LA 434 to LA 59.

Smokey the Bear says only you can prevent forest fires during a red flag warning.

That was just way too much pressure for me as a kid. It is why I started drinking. That's a whole lot of forest and only one me.

Elevated Fire weather today for LA and FL. Tomorrow a majority of the FL peninsula is under a Critical Fire weather red flag with the drought, high winds, and low humidity in the low 20s to teens. Definitely a dangerous couple of days.

It is almost like assholes should pay attention to there being a red flag warning.

Pretty sure it's on both sides of the interstate

I read somewhere that it was an electrical pole that fell in the wind and sparked at least one if the fires.

Hope this gets cleared by the morning. I have to be in Slidell tomorrow and I can't imagine what a shite show 190 would be.
