Watched this over the last two days. The last two seasons, the writers have spent 9 episodes to build up to the most unsatisfying resolutions.

It has plenty of action, but it feels disjointed

How? He is directly talking about how seasons 2 and 3 are disjointed now that he has seen the latest season

Exactly, not sure how that's hard to comprehend.

Couldn’t finish season 2. Characters are too dumb. Storyline not well executed.

Season 3 is somehow worse.

Season 1 was watchable.

Season 2 was retarded beyond measure.

Couldn’t finish it.

The characters are so unbelievably stupid that it makes it unwatchable.

I actually thought this season(3) was really good.

I'm in agreement on season 2 being a let down.

Spoilers

The President and First Lady committing massive fraud, money laundering and murder for hire and the resolution is basically a footnote at the end of the episode showing the president pardoned himself and signed a media deal?? The frick kind of resolution is that

I would have much rather traded a third season of The Recruit for this.

Yup. The Recruit is much better than Night Agent

Does anyone understand how or why Netflix cancelled The Recruit, but keeps hyping The Night Agent?

S1 was fun but I could take or leave S2. We’ll get to this sometime.

Honestly I would have rather this have been cancelled than the Recruit.

Recruit had a great S2 finale.

Beat me to it. Then I realized that it’s been going for 4 straight posts. Really good series too to bottom.

I loved Season 1 of The Recruit. Fell off a bit in Season 2.

I know why they are pushing The Night Agent. Season 1 is in the Top 10 list of global all-time streaming numbers. It was a monster hit.

The Recruit had small numbers compared to that. It was cancelled because Season 2 had fewer viewers than Season 1 (lost momentum) combined with high production costs. I preferred The Recruit myself but it was a bit quirky while The Night Agent is a very conventional thriller series that speaks more to the average viewer.

My wife and I just started Season 1 last night.

Liking it so far. No "slow burn" like with other series. Lots of action right from the git go.

It's not satisfying for viewers, but honestly that feels a pretty accurate reflection of real life. Think of Biden's last few days in office and the number of people he pardoned especially with covid related stuff and how many deaths revolved around that, they didn't get much media attention either.
