Before some of you judge, you should know that strangling your landlady over a rent dispute is perfectly acceptable in some cultures.

Check yourself and your privilege, bigots

An illegal migrant from Colombia who strangled his Queens landlady after he failed to make good on rent was sentenced to more than two decades behind bars Friday for the vicious slaying, authorities said.

Davi Vidal, 20, was still a teenager in December 2023 when he killed 55-year-old Zoraida Leo with his bare hands and a cord from an iron, lashing out during a dispute over unpaid rent, The Post previously reported.

Queens Supreme Court Justice Ushir Pandit-Durant sentenced Vidal to 22 ½ years in prison, followed by five years of post-release supervision, after he pleaded guilty to first-degree manslaughter last month, prosecutors said.

“This defendant brutally attacked Zoraida Leo after a rent dispute and then callously left her to die on the floor of her own home,” Queens District Attorney Melinda Katz said in a statement.

This victim’s sister, Maria Leo, previously ripped Vidal as an “assassin” and questioned how he was even allowed to be in the country.

“He’s a migrant who crossed the border illegally,” Leo, a naturalized citizen from the Dominican Republic, told The Post in November 2024.

“How is it that the federal government let this delinquent go, only for him to kill an innocent woman — my sister? Vidal is an assassin,” she said.

He was 20 y.o. The left classifies him as a 'Juvenile Offender.'

So he kills a woman’s over a rent dispute and now taxpayers are on the hook for his housing… and food… and medicine… for the next two decades. This world is not fair.

He’s currently 20 years old. Without knowing his birthday it is possible but not very likely that he was 17 when he killed her.

Look on the bright side, he'll probably only do 7-8 years.

For reasons I can’t fathom, he was charged with manslaughter.

Well, then he should only get 2 weeks in prison and then 3 months probation with an ankle bracelet. And he has to promise to never kill any more girls.

Should have been sentenced to death followed by a one-way ticket to the fires of Acheron.

But what they're saying is that he'll do 12-15, and then disappear back into hiding because he's still illegal.

I want one of our resident "illegal apologists" to please provide us with sound logic as to why this is an acceptable form of punishment for someone who was here illegally and murdered a citizen in the most personal, primal and atavistic way imaginable.
