Just putting this out there because I hadn't seen it posted yet.
BK buyout = 55 Million
Woodside Energy Logo = 55 Million
Money talks.

Where did you see the dollar amount of the Woodside Energy sponsorship?

Ruffino threw the number out there

That could be asked about both Woodside and Kelly.

To whom?
LSU whiffed on BK.
BK 'insured' via buyout. Perhaps even using LSU as golden handshake out of coaching profession.
Talks to whom? LSU's whiff and being used as a pseudo pension fund.
...but just cost LSU a little real estate on a jersey. Unless dignity counts.

Chicken man paid roughly half of it.

Take everything he says with a grain of salt because he is not connected.

Scott Woodward whiffed on BK. But he was about the best available coach at that time.

I'd say he whiffed on the contract and then failed to supervise his employee. If he had actually paid attention to how Kelly was performing (i.e.mailing it in) he could have built a case to fire Kelly for cause. Alcoholism, absent from work, vacationing during critical recruiting times, not being present during recruiting visits.)

I know for a fact that it’s less than a million per year. It’s a 10 year deal. It’s barely 6 figures. The actual number is 101k this year and it increases by 17% each year until it expires.

You have no idea what you are talking about. That's less than some normal LSU sports properties wall ads.
UNLV actually released their patch numbers. You think we are making 10% on our patch vs what UNLV is
quote:
UNLV, the only other school so far that has announced a jersey patch sponsorship, reached a five-year, $11 million deal with Acesso Biologics, a Las Vegas-based regenerative medicine company.
And our deal is 7 years. So everything you said is bullshite:
quote:
Even though sponsor patches were not approved by the NCAA until January, LSU wanted to be ready to tap into a lucrative revenue stream. It struck a seven-year, multimillion-dollar deal with Woodside Energy, a company founded in Australia that has operated offshore in Louisiana for almost two decades. Beginning this fall, every LSU uniform will have a sponsor logo on it.

It was what it would take to unseat him from where he was.

OK, which is it? People on here were whining about him meddling too much and having a spy on the coaching staff, but now he was not supervising his employee.

No he could not have.

Not a single one of those, except absent from work, would even come close, and unless his specific work hours were spelled out, I doubt that would have either. Not putting in hours like Saban or Kiffin or sitting in your office while your staff does all the real work is not the same as being absent from work.
Cause is very difficult to establish outside of legal or cheating issues. I'm not sure why this is so hard for some people to grasp.

Ignore WarBuodin. If you ever want to know what is NOT the actual case, check out what he says.

Who would have ever thought that Brian Kelly would use LSU for his Golden Parachute?
