Don’t we usually dominate the Winter Olympics? From the medal count we are getting our buts kicked. Are there more events coming up that we are favored or is this winter Olympics just done for us?

I mean we do fairly well but not like Summer Olympics. The Canadians and the Vikings re all very good at Winter Olympics.

No.

We always do well in the Winter Olympics but haven't won the medal count in recent memory at the games, if ever. We usually finish in the Top 3-5.

On pace for close to 30 medals which is pretty normal for the US.

There’s not as many medals in the Winter Games as the Summer.

Oh ok, I thought we usually dominated like the summer Olympics but it makes since that countries like Norway would. I guess, as long as we beat out China and others it’s a good Olympics

List for the past 3 winter Olympics until I get to USA, easy to find details for them
2022 Beijing: Norway with 37 (16G), Germany with 27 (12G), USA with 25 (8G)
2018 Pyeong Chang: Norway 39 (14G), Germany 31 (14G), Canada 29 (11G), USA 23 (9G)
2014 Sochi: Russia 32 (12G), USA 28 (9G)

Current total: Norway 33 (15), Italy 25 (9G), USA 24 (7G)

So far USA is 1 total medal, and 2 golds, off from its last 3 Winter Olympics average - 25.3 (8.67G)

24 is almost double the medals the US won at any single Olympics before the turn of the century (13 at Nagano 98). It’s a good showing so far with potential medals in hockey for both men’s and women’s and another potential medal in women’s figure skating tomorrow.

3 medals for the US in cross country is unheard of. Never done that before.

I think the only real answer here is they don't want to be perceived as playing for Trump.

It's sarcasm folks

We dominate the Summer Olympics, not the Winter.

This is overall a good showing for the US.

Norway racks up the medals in cross country, biathlon, and ski jumping, and is solid in speed skating. They live on the ice and snow in that country.

I know host country always gets a boost, but I'm surprised by Italy. Didn't expect this from them at all. Maybe I'm just ignorant and they're usually pretty solid.

Also don't look now, but the US women's curling team looks pretty salty. Could be a medal there.

This. No one likes to shite on the current weak minded and bodied American culture more than me, but we are really doing well this year.

We have never dominated the winter olympics. We have only won the medal count 2 times ever.

Indeed. We rack up medals in track and swimming.
