Haven’t seen this posted yet. Good move imo.

I disagree that it's a good move.

Well SMU plays in a 32,000 seat stadium. I don't know why we even agreed to a home-and-home with them to begin with. Thanks Woodward.

If LSU was going to agree to play road games vs opponents that play in 30,000 seat stadiums, they we should have just scheduled Tulane instead

They play in a 30k capacity stadium. This is much better for LSU fans

Not to mention playing in AC on Sept 1st in Dallas

Are we seriously going to complain about SMU turning their true home game into an effective away game?

There will be way more LSU fans at the game now.

The neutral site game shine is wearing off imo. SMU would be a fun campus to go play at. I just think these neutral site games feel soulless. It's fun every 5 years or so.

I agree, it takes away from the game by moving it to Jerry's World.

Except we always played them in the Superdome.

Well, all of Tulane's games were in the Superdome between the time the dome opened until they Yulman opened in 2014. Tulane and LSU haven't played since 2009

To each their own. I live in Dallas and I wouldn’t consider going to a game at SMU in September. I’ll definitely be going now that’s it’s at AT&T Stadium. I imagine a bunch of other LSU fans will be too.

A YUGE advantage for everyone involved, as it's known to reach 110° F air temp, with HIGH humidity, in Dallas in early September.

I'm not a Jim fan, but he is probably right.

If you don’t understand the recruiting exposure difference between a game in DFW and a game in NO, I’m not sure anyone can help you.

Not nearly as important in the NIL era as it used to be

In general I would agree and have had that sentiment for most of our neutral site games. But honestly, it’s not like SMU has some bucket list stadium. Game is still in Dallas so that doesn’t change. And an air conditioned game in September is fine with me. I would have just watched on TV. Now I’m actually more likely to go.

It’s all about the money. ATT stadium 80,000 vs. 32,000 Mustang stadium, It’s an SMU home game so why should LSU even care; it’s a win/win $$$ for both teams.
