Ford Motor lost $4.8 billion on its electric vehicle lines in fiscal year 2025.
Over the past few years, the company has reported losses on its EV lines every quarter. During the company’s earnings call Tuesday, Sherry House, Ford’s chief financial officer, said Ford doesn’t expect to break even on the Model-E division until fiscal year 2029.
In the fourth quarter of 2025, the company reported a loss of $1.2 billion on the Model-E division, down from $1.4 billion in the same quarter the previous year. The year-end losses for fiscal year 2025 were down from $5.1 billion in 2024.
Ford sold 178,000 electric vehicles in fiscal year 2025, up from 105,000 in 2024. This brings the loss per EV in the last fiscal year to nearly $27,000.

They lost 5.8 billion on them in 2024?
And these companies have to do this because democrats set ridiculous mpg standards?
How do democrats win national elections? You’d think these companies would refuse to do this shite. But they don’t.

Is this is why gas vehicles have gotten so expensive, to make up for EV loses?

We told them …. as their customers, we told them. They did it anyway.

How is that even possible? That’s like the price of a Chinese EV. American autos suck and it’s time to stop protecting them.

and this is why they want so much for a pickup now though. I had a ford dealership tell me last week, when I told him flat out that they just want too much for their trucks, that if I didn't buy it someone else will. He's right. There are people who will only buy Fords no matter that they are 15000 higher than a GMC now. For me, a truck is a tool that I use, Im not loyal to one brand.

How can you lose that much money and still be in business? Shows you the profits they earn selling regular vehicles, parts etc.

The government intentionally set efficiency requirements they could only meet with electric.
This was Biden forcing industries into the WEF plan.
The next step was to limit use via mileage taxes and ultimately mileage restrictions.

Same. I’ll drive both a Chevy and a GMC.

Ford's losses affected all the other manufacturers to make them raise their prices as well?

They drive the market. If the prices of imported copper goes up domestic produced copper is going to go up to because they can.
