Caleb Buford, interior offensive linemen out of Pearland, Texas. Cant find much on him. But looks a little on the small side but really athletic.

He’s the new JC Copeland or Brandon Hurley, maybe.

Or Tyrann Mathieu… If Tyrann weighed 100 pounds more and played on offense of course.

You would assume so but he appears to be on some all district teams in 22-6A as a tackle but is playing guard in most of his highlights. A really weird situation honestly. Im assuming just the lack of coverage and reporting on it, insinuates it is a pwo. But he's a pretty good pwo if so.

In theory and im sure thats what the courts/NCAA had in mind. That said, any new scholarship counts against the 20 mil profit share pie and some kids arent worth the value. If they play for free, or what amounts to it, then they'd technically be a walk on. Schools all across the country have been announcing pwos so im guessing they still exist. But in reality who knows. We dont even know the salaries of the players we know are getting paid.

3.9 GPA. Reminds me of linemen back in the day that were pre med majors and highly intelligent.

The roster limit size is 105, you can get there however you want. Walk ons are not banned or anything

Why would he be a walk on if the roster limit is 105 and we have 105 scholarships?

Rodney Reed comes to mind here. I think he did pretty well academically at LSU back in the day.

Just watched his highlight tape. A few thoughts:

- Moves really well, bit of a mean streak to him.
- Hand placement can and will improve.
- Needs some more rice in the gumbo
- Really good pass blocker as well as lead blocker as a pulling guard.

I like the pick up a lot, probably won’t play for his first two years but he’s got potential. Could see him being a good center

I wasnt saying he is a walk on, we dont know one way or the other. I was simply stating the roster limit size is 105 now and you can get there any way you wish.

105 on scholarship
80 on scholarship, 25 walk ons
90 on scholarship, 15 walk ons

etc....

Inevitably yes we still will have some walk ons I believe. In the end, its entirely pointless to have 105 scholarship players on your roster, 85 was already too many to begin with compared to how many actually play.
